Who We Are

The mission of the Paula Takacs Foundation is to fund local cutting-edge clinical trials and research for sarcoma, a rare cancer of the bone or connective tissue that strikes both children and adults. The foundation fund sarcoma research at Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s Hospital. For pediatric and adult patients in the Carolinas, that means increasing the availability of novel, local treatment options, less need for distant travel and a real possibility for remission and cures. For the world at large, this means working to uncover the mysteries of sarcoma that lead to solid answers and expand global hope. We hope you will choose to become a stakeholder in this sarcoma research program by donating to and participating in the Sarcoma Stomp. Who We Help

Monies raised from this fundraiser stay in our community, benefiting Levine Cancer Institute, helping to fund Levine's sarcoma clinical trials and other sarcoma research projects. This directly impacts the lives of local patients, while also helping to advance the science of this complex and severely underfunded cancer.
